East Field Farm, Cottam
Monday 5th January 2015 Cottam
A lovely late afternoon glow in the sky, a slight mist and the distant farm forming a silhouette.Cottam is a few miles north of Driffield, there was an airfield during the Second World war, the runway still in evidence. About half a mile north of this location and at the head of Cottam Well Dale lie the lumps and bumps of the deserted medieval village of Cottam and a fantastic ruin of a nineteenth century brick built Church.
