98% of full moon
98% of a full moon
Tuesday 6th January 2015 Driffield
Having had a busy day in Scarborough, I returned without an image of something in the town! Time was now moving on and about 9pm I decided I must go out and take a night shot in Driffield. Stepping outside the door, I was aware of what I thought was a full moon. I decided then, it would be the back garden and an image of the moon. I later discovered that the full moon was yesterday and the next one will be 3rd February. Did you know the moon is 250,137 miles away today - "Not a lot of people know that" - to quote Michael Caine. Not sure what features of the moon the image shows. Taken with a 300mm lens.
